Apt. 202 opened its doors in September 2007 with the intention of bringing a unique style and different clothing to the area. I was, and still am, committed to filling the store with merchandise that that is stunningly different. My business has grown and evolved from simply providing great fashion, into a place where personal-styling has become my passion. I deeply enjoy helping style customers for any occasion or just for their day to day lives. I understand that fashion is not everyone’s passion and that’s why they have me. We all need a little help pairing items together; so in a fun, easy environment, I help people get dressed.

I grew up in Salt Lake, went to college to ski race in upstate New York, and then moved to San Francisco to begin my 10-year long advertising career. I worked at some of the largest Advertising Agencies in the country on such accounts as Adidas, Good Year Tires, and Elizabeth Arden. I had an amazing career but wanted to own my own business. After years of conducting market research, I landed on a darling street in Salt Lake City, just around the corner from where I went to high school. I believed in the location and the city and knew that it would be an incredible place to open my dream. There was a market- need for a shop like the one I wanted to create. The mission then and now was to create a place where women can celebrate their individuality through fashion and style. Every woman deserves to feel elegant and special and I try to make that happen through their clothing choices.
In 2011, my husband, Mark and I renovated an old bungalow on 9th and 9th in an effort to join forces and create an environment that our shared clients would enjoy. Mark had owned a hair salon, Salon MC, a few blocks from Apt. 202 and since we shared so many amazing clients, we realized that it only made sense to collaborate and come together. Although the two businesses run independently, we share a similar mission - provide exceptional customer service and styling to each customer. We feel extremely lucky to be able to be together in the same creative space and be able to service our clients needs.
